Life-changing therapy for adults in North Carolina
Trauma
Trauma is the response to experiences where your sense of safety feels threatened and you're left feeling broken, helpless, and voiceless. Trauma is almost always an underlying cause of various mental health conditions.
Benefits: Clients that I work with often experience these changes (and more) in their lives as a result from therapy:
Feeling safer in your body and the world
Ability to set healthy boundaries
Deeper, healthier relationships
Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression are not personality traits, but symptoms of a deeper issue that needs healing. It's your body telling you that something needs your attention. Don't let anxiety and depression dim your light.
Benefits: What would life look like without anxiety or depression?
Feeling more relaxed and grounded
Less pain and improved physical health
Better sleep and more energy throughout the day
PTSD
PTSD, short for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, can linger after trauma, causing flashbacks, anxiety, and emotional numbness. You may avoid reminders or feel hypervigilant, making daily life a struggle.
Benefits: Through my supportive and guided process, you can gain the tools and strategies to manage your symptoms, reclaim your sense of safety, and build a brighter future.
regain a sense of control over their thoughts and emotions.
navigate challenging situations and maintain emotional
well-being.
learn to communicate their experiences and needs effectively, fostering stronger, more supportive relationships with loved ones.
Addictions specialist
Addictions can be very obvious at times, but they can also be subtle in their early stages. Usually, they are a symptom that is rooted in a mixture of genetics, past painful experiences, negative beliefs, and other things that are yet to be uncovered.
Benefits: Healing and understanding the underlying causes of your addiction will help you build a healthy, loving relationship with yourself and end your unhealthy coping mechanisms.
My trauma focused perspective looks at what happened to you and doesn’t label you as “bad”
Our work together will address underlying trauma and identify triggers as well as the functions that behaviors have had in the past.
Foster healthier coping strategies and promote recovery towards a balanced life.
